About the event

Neurodivergent folk, family, carers and providers are welcomed to participate in this open and honest discussion about what sort of changes and developments we would like to see in the local community for Autistic and Neurodivergent people.

The discussion will be facilitated by Louise 'Rockabilby' Cooper, a late diagnosed Autistic author and artist, president of ARCANE, founder of Neurokin Arts Festival, and qualified Autism Consultant with a graduate certificate in Autism Studies from Griffith University. Louise aims to set up a regular Neurodivergent community gathering post-festival and wonders what that might look like.

What might arts, cultural, economic, social and community futures look like for the Neurodivergent community? Who's in the room to help us achieve them? What are the unmet visions where more spoons or people are needed to achieve them?

We'll be ready to listen, throw ideas around and see what sticks, lay out the butchers paper so…

ARCANE acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Dja Dja Wurrung,

whose sovereignty was never ceded and who have continued to care for this country

for over 100,000 years. ARCANE extends this acknowledgement to all Traditional Custodians

of all its board members, presenters, creatives and participants countries throughout Australia,

and around the world; and continues to respect all kin as an act of Reconciliation. ARCANE

respects Elders past, present and emerging, and is grateful to this land for the many gifts that

we will continue to honour.
