About the event

In ancient times, Friday the 13th was thought to be a lucky day! A powerful day to manifest and honour creativity, and to celebrate beauty, wisdom, and nourishment of the soul. People would celebrate the Divine Feminine within each of us and Freyja, Goddess of love, beauty, fertility, sex, war, death, gold and magic. We call on you to join us in celebrating our matrilineal ancestries as we celebrate the opening night of Neurokin Arts Festival. We encourage you to come dressed in celebration of your heritage; a Viking, a Witch, a Wild Woman; or whatever it is you feel connected to.

There will be a Shrine to our mothers and matrilineal lineages on which people are welcome to place letters and poems. A place to remember the undiagnosed Neurodivergent women that struggled in a hostile and inaccessible world. A place to acknowledge our pain, our heartache and to heal.…
