Written by Louise 'Rockabilby' Cooper in consultation with the wider Autistic community, 'Welcome Neurokin' is a strengths-based, cultural perspective of being Autistic. The book is designed to broach a different subject on each page and encourage conversation between parent and children, therapist and client or teacher and class. Subjects include where and how we like to learn, how we communicate and our special interests. The book was illustrated by Autistic children and adults living in Castlemaine.

"It's a nice resource. Having the multiple voices in there, I think is a really strong point of it, and also the comprehensibility of it is really commendable, really nice just to read through it, it's got a great flow, nice and digestible. You've broken it up with prompts that could start discussions that could be useful to everyone in a classroom." - Tim Buckley, Manager of Inclusion & Advocacy Policy & Programs at the Victorian Office for Disability
