As late-diagnosed AuDHD-ers, we are in recovery

As late-diagnosed AuDHD-ers, we are in recovery.

Not from being broken, but from being told we were.

Too much. Too messy. Too porous for this timeline.

Recovery is not a checklist—it’s a soft rebellion.

It’s the laying of moss beneath our feet.

Stroking the sharp edges of our minds and murmuring sweet somethings to the dark places.

It’s whispering to ourselves in meltdown: You are good. You are so, so good.

At Neurokin, we gather and say “Hi, I’m Autistic and ADHD,” and no one flinches. We remember: our overwhelm is holy.

Our softness is strength.

We are not lazy, late, or lost.

We are tired.

We are luminous.

We are coming home.

We must be tender with ourselves as we walk each other home.

Join us at the Neurokin Arts Festival—a celebration of neurodivergent brilliance. Workshops, performances, markets, and moments of tender revolution. Online and in person, from June 6. https://www.neurokin.org.au
